Custom Paper Toys
Here is something you can do that is free. I came across this website created by Cartoonist and Illustrator Matt Hawkins. It’s called Custompapertoys.com. There you will find downloadable paper toys you can make with your kids. Just download the template, cut the pieces and glue together. These are really fun and creative. Some are even political, like the “Build-O-Bama”. Check out all the different characters and creatures you can make, and have fun! CUSTOM PAPER TOYS

Mini Micro Scooters
Every time my 3 year old see’s a scooter, she wants to ride it. I feel she’s too young for a scooter. Well, Micro now makes a scooter for the pre-school set. This scooter is designed with 3 wheels which provides better stability then it’s 2 wheel cousin. The kickboard is large and low-to-the- ground to make it easier for little ones to hop on and off, and the handle bar height is shorter. The polyurethane wheels glide smoothly and are quiet. I’m still a bit nervous about letting my little one ride a scooter, but this one may make me re-think my position. If she has a helmet on, what’s the worst that can happen, a broken bone or two? Available in Blue or Pink. Recommended for ages 3-5. MINI MICRO SCOOTER

PixelBlocks
Pixel Blocks are the coolest thing since Legos. No, they’re way cooler than Legos. PixelBlocks are 3/8″ translucent cubes that when stacked or snapped together can form 2-D or 3-D people, buildings or what ever your child’s creative mind thinks up. The PixelBlocks come in a rainbow of colors. They can be purchased in 550, 875, 1,200 or 2,000 piece sets which includes a playbook and in 200 piece individual colors. One warning, not for small children, the pieces are quite small. PIXELBLOCKS

Ringbo Robot
Check out this Robot called Ringbo. This toy/scooter is geared towards 2-3 year olds. It can go up to 2 miles per hour and will operate for about 1 hour on a full charge. This thing makes me cringe at the thought of all the damage my 2 1/2 year can accomplish on this thing. If only it could vacuum, then I’d consider it.

Yo Gabba Gabba Figures
I am a real fan of the Yo Gabba Gabba show. This is one kid’s show that will not bore you out of your mind. The music is great and so are the messages. You can buy the complete set of figurines from Kidrobot. They stand about 10 inches tall and look really cute on a bookshelf. They come in a really nice window box, so nice that you might not want to take them out of the box. KIDROBOT

Bilibo
Bilibo was developed and designed in Switzerland, with the idea that children use their imagination to create a world of their own. Bilibo does not used flashy electronics, which merely intertains kids on a superficial level. Bilibo was created with no specific function or way to use it. It encourages children to use their imagination. My 8 year old saw the photo of it and asked if she could have one. It just goes to show you that sometimes the box is more fun to play with then the gift inside. Bilibo
