Mod Mom Furniture
This small line of kids furniture is designed by an ex-TV network marketing executive turned stay-at-home mom. Her designs are modern/mid century inspired kid’s furniture. All of her pieces are made by hand in her garage and are named after cool kids she knows. She uses birch wood and non-toxic paints, water based stains and finishes. Some of her products include really cool and functional toy boxes. One of my favorites is The Lauren Play Table which features a detachable Lazy Suzan in your choice of colors. All of her pieces are truly functional with a sense of timeless design. MOD MOM FURNITURE

Lullaby Rockers by Pottery Barn Kids
I really like these rocking chairs from Pottery Barn Kids. They are slipcovered chairs so they are easy to clean. The kiln-dried wood frame is built to last. These stylish chairs look great in any bedroom or den after the baby has grown up. You can even order additional slipcovers in other patterns or solid covers for when you are in the mood to change up the look of a room. POTTERY BARN KIDS

Some of the themes are: Inspirational, Friendship, Brain Teasers, Animals, Language Learners in Spanish and French, Back to school, Betcha Didn’t Know, Puzzle Mania and many more. PLEO
PLEO is an amazing baby Camarasaurus. He operates autonomous without a remote control. He is not a remote controlled toy, he is a interactive pet dinosaur. He is unpredictable. PLEO has needs. PLEO will graze, nap and toddle around on his own and change his mind or mood just as you do. Inside, Pleo is full of technical devices such as IR communication, infrared interrupter, chin touch sensors, front and rear speakers, tilt and shake sensors, ground sensors, leg touch sensors, force feedback sensors, rear touch sensors, shoulder touch sensors, binaural microphones, color camera and head touch sensors. The PLEO is powered by a NiMH rechargable battery. The PLEO has developed emotions, awareness of it’s surroundings, it can evolve and learn what it likes and dislikes. PLEO is not cheap at $300.00 dollars however like I mentioned, it isn’t just a toy. It’s a companion, a cool one. PLEO

Peek…Aren’t you Curious
This is my new favorite kids clothing store. The founders of this great children’s apparel store are the former Executive Vice President of Lucky Brand Jeans and the former Gap Vice President of women’s merchandising. They really have their fingers on the pulse of what I think most parents are looking for in children’s clothing, cute, hip, very unique pieces and excellent quality. They have 5 locations: Santa Monica, Ca, Corte Madera, Ca., Scottsdale, Az., Glendale, Ca, and Newport Beach, Ca. The clothes are much cuter in person than on their website. In my opinion, the patterns and designs are reminiscent of vintage clothing. The jeans are so soft, the baby clothes are so adorable. I could just go on and on. If one of their stores is not too far away, its worth the trip. PEEK…AREN’T YOU CURIOUS

Alex Loft Bed
Here is a great bed for the 10 year + set. It includes a built in armoire with one shelf and a hangbar for additional storage. When you configure it with the matching Alex desk, you have the perfect all-in-one set up. This bed is made of 100% hardwood and non-toxic lacquered paint. It’s a bit pricey at $2,350, but partly because this bed is not some junk from China that won’t last very long. This bed is made in the US from a company called DucDuc, where quality control is very important. You can even request custom finishes. Definitely a nice bed. Available in 16 different color combinations. DUCDUC
