Seaside Ice
What to do this holiday season that is cool and unique? How about Ice skating at the beach. This is truly a California anomaly. Only in LA can this be done in the winter time. The Seaside Lagoon located at 200 Portofino Way in Redondo Beach, Ca. has, for a limited time a full service Ice skating rink. located right at/on the beach. What a cool thing to do with the kids or a friend. Get there before it closes because it ends January 11th. Hours are Monday – Thursday from 11AM to 9:30 PM, Friday from 11AM to 10PM and Weekends from 10AM to 10PM. Price is $14.00 for Adults and $12.00 for Kids under 12 years old. Ball Jointed Dolls
Ball jointed what? you say. Yes you heard right, ball jointed dolls. Also known as BJD, they are the latest craze in doll collecting. These are dolls that are articulated with ball and socket joints. They mostly come from Japan and South Korea. There’s about half a dozen manufacturers of the dolls. These are not your run of the mill Barbie dolls. They can cost upwards of $800.00, depending on the accessories and customizable parts purchased. You can easily replace the eyes and hair with wigs. I am not much of a doll fan, but I must say, these are beautiful. Available at IPLEHOUSE and other sites.
